32 Weeks

Well, I wanted Albert to do the post this week, we haven't been on in awhile and I thought it would be nice to have his point of view. I guess he had nothing to say.

Things have been going well. I have gotten the hang of sleeping again. My belly is really taking over as you can see. All and all I feel the same just much bigger. The only thing really holding me back is my ankles swelling and the maternity clothes. Man, the clothes are not comfortable! The swelling is horrible, although I know that I am to blame having a job were I am on my feet the whole shift.

Albert and I are both itching for a vacation. We are planning on taking 3 days at the end of April and going camping on the beach. We just need a break and some relaxation. Albert has been working soo hard. I am so proud to be his wife. I have not been working as hard as I have in the past but it feels that way since everything is a little bit more tiresome.

The weather is getting very nice up here. All the locals are complaining that it is hot and I am in heaven. I am burning up when I have to stay in doors, and just want to be outside :)

AZ-Bday and Shower

28 weeks! I'm at 7 months already!

Well, two weeks ago was my trip to Phoenix, and my baby shower. It was so much fun! I loved seeing all my friends and family. I had a pizza party for my birthday and the next day was the baby shower. I am very thankful for all the people who came to my shower and the gifts we received. It was so good to see everyone there. Except it made me miss working at St. Joe's.

The baby has been moving so much more When I was in Phoenix one day I was laying on my back and had my arm on my stomach, I swear Olivia almost kicked my arm off! My belly is getting huge and stretched out. Pants are definitely becoming an issue :) Wow I also can't believe how bad my ankles swell! I put my feet up at lunch AND as soon as I get home and they still look fat!

I have a doctors appointment this week, I will be getting my blood glucose test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. I am not sure if anything else will happen. The last few appointments have been pretty uneventful.

Well, we have gone to 2 birthing classes so far. I like them. Our teacher's house is gorgeous! The first class they told us to do deep squats a couple times a day, a yoga pose called cat/cow 5 times a day, walk at least 5 min a day, and hip abductor exercises 5 per day. I like the other people in the class. There are seven other couples and we are all having our first babies. The second week we discussed nutrition. Wow, I am supposed to eat a lot of protein. So We have been making beans and I bought some chicken sausages for lunch. In each class they teach us a relaxation technique also. The first was a tense and release exercise to teach Albert how to recognize when I am tensing certain parts of my body so he can help me relax. The second one was an imagination one were Albert helps me visualize a shower or something to relax myself. Albert says he thinks the classes are interesting. I have to miss the class next week to go to Phoenix (Yeay!!) but I am about to read over that chapter.

Albert has been very good with these. Although he isn't reading the book like I keep asking him to. My belly is getting grander and grander. I am not fitting into very many clothes anymore, but I bought this elastic band so that hopefully I can continue to wear my pants for a little while longer. We started trying to figure out the babysitting schedule too. I think we will be able to cover all the days and no one will have to work less. I hope I get a better job though.

Olivia moves more and more everyday. The other day I got a pain in my side and she started kicking it! I have been playing music for her with headphones pushed up against my belly. She doesn't move for Beethoven but she does for Bob Marley ! :) I bought her a few books this week too, Buenas Noches, Luna and a book about Hindu Gods. Sammy and Piper are already arguing about who is going to read the Hindu book to her :)

Well, only 15 more weeks!

Well, next week is 6 months. I am very excited! Lots goes on from here on out. I have finished reading 2 books about the baby so far. The first one was about breast feeding and the second a way to potty train. I want to check out the book What to Expect When You're Expecting. But it has not been available yet. I have skimmed through it a bit when I'm at a bookstore. Wow. Olivia kicks me alot everyday. She started kicking my bladder about 2 days ago. It feels soo weird.

We had another doctors appointment on Thursday. Olivia weighs 1 whole pound now! She was hiccuping during the ultrasound :) I will have Albert put her ultrasound pictures up soon. There wasn't really any new news. I will be checked for Gestational Diabetes next month. I thought it was strange that they check that so late in the pregnancy..but what ever.

I am very excited that we start out classes next week. We chose the Bradley Method. I like it because it focuses on Albert helping me to relax. It also teaches us about exercising during the pregnancy. I will miss a week while I am in Phoenix but we can make it up.

I have been looking forward to visiting Phoenix sooooooooooooo much. I have been thinking of all the things I want to do, all the places I want to eat, and everyone I wan to see.

21 weeks

I have been feeling little miss Olivia move a lot more. The other night Albert felt it too. I don't think she likes cadbury eggs either because every time I eat one I get a stomach ache and she does the mambo. :) Well here are the most recent shots of my belly. I have one little stretch mark but other than that not much to report.

Wedding Day

We are married. We visited a courthouse and went to dinner. Here's a picture of the us listening to the vows the Judge reads. He kept stopping and asking us to get closer. We where already pressing againt each other, how much closer could we get?

20 weeks

Well it was our seven year anniversary on 1/16/09 we weren't able to get married but we went on a little trip. We went to Newport, OR so that we could be near the ocean and see the aquarium. It was beautiful.

No new info yet about Olivia. I'm still not sure if I am feeling her move. My belly is definitely getting fuller, and I can't sleep very well but that's about it.

Baby Olivia 19 weeks.

We went to babys r us to register for the baby shower. It was fun to pick out some stuff, and confusing on other things (like the breast pump) how do we know what we need? We also picked out Olivia's outfit for coming home. We bought two but the white one is the one she will wear home from the hospital. I love the socks!

Also here are her most recent ultrasound pictures. The doctor said she looks perfectly healthy, and all of my blood tests came back fine.

Well, we all have to wait another month for any news from the doctor. But hopefully I will start feeling her move soon. I will put weekly baby bump pics up too ;) We also start our baby classes on February 12th, so we will let you know all we learn.

Sooo, We found out we are having a baby on October 10, 2008. Only one month after moving far away from our families!! At first the news was not good or bad, just news. Now that we are used to the idea we are both very excited.

The pics are from January 8. This is the day we found out we are have a baby girl. We had already chosen the names earlier when we found out we were pregnant. Olivia Artemisia Palma. We have decided to name all of our children with middle names of famous artists that we like. Artemisia was an Italian artist in the 1600's. She is one of the most famous woman artists of her time. It is still noteworthy that a woman was able to create such beautiful art in that time.

For those who know me they can probably tell that is a baby-belly. For strangers on the bus I am just fat. This stage of the pregnancy is easier that the first few weeks when I felt sick all the time. I do have pains and can't sleep sometimes but otherwise I am happy to carry our new daughter around.

Today we went and registered for our baby shower. It was interesting to look at all the stuff, and daydream about getting it all. There is a jogging stroller that we really like, and I desperately hope we get a breast pump. Wow babies are expensive! We also picked out her outfit to wear home from the hospital.
